For this year's Independence Day celebration on July 4th there has been a change of venue. Instead of the fireworks being at the old Shawmut Airport, the show will be held at the Valley Sportsplex!
The main reason for the change is the water logged area at the airport. With all the rains we've had in June the grassy area at the airport will be pretty water logged making it difficult for all the cars to arrive and leave without there being just a big mess for everyone involved.
At the Valley Sportsplex there is plenty of paved/concrete area for all the vehicles and the families that show up to enjoy the fireworks! The fireworks will start going off in the Valley skies at 9pm EST!
