Troup Co Sheriff deputies have arrested Veronica E. Gay, age 38, of 902 Baldwin street in Lagrange , after she was found in possession of a stolen vehicle and numerous other items valued of more than $5000.00. Gay took the vehicle and items from a residence in unincorporated Troup County and was found in possession at her home on Baldwin St. She had been a suspect in the theft and is currently in the Troup County Jail charged with theft over $1500 and theft of a motor vehicle. Gay also faces additional charges though LaGrange Police Department.

Robert B. Davis, age 59 of Lagrange, was arrested after deputies were called to a residence on Lower Big Springs Road in Troup County regarding a fight in progress call. Deputies and Investigators determined that Davis hit and strangled his wife during an altercation. The victim was transported to a regional hospital for treatment of her injuries. Davis is currently in the Troup County jail, charged under the family violence act, with Aggravated Assault, False Imprisonment, Possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime and Possession of an unlawful firearm.
