Auburn Police Department Arrests Auburn Man on Multiple Charges

On October 20, 2018, Auburn Police arrested Jamario Emanuel Mitchell,  age 25, from Auburn, on warrants charging him with Burglary 3rd Degree,  Theft of Property 4th Degree, Giving False Information to a Law  Enforcement Officer, Possession of Marijuana and Possession of Drug  Paraphernalia.   

At about 7 p.m. Saturday, Auburn Police responded to a burglary in  progress call at an apartment complex in the 200 block of South Gay  Street. Officers arrived on the scene and were informed that no one had  permission to be inside of the residence. Once officers approached the  residence they contacted Mitchell, who was exiting the apartment  carrying property. He was immediately detained and provided false  identifying information to officers when questioned. Once taken into  custody a quantity of marijuana and drug paraphernalia were discovered  in his possession. The case remains under investigation; more charges  are possible.     

Mitchell was transported to the Lee County Jail where he was being held on a $7,000 bond.
