S&D named CSCAA Scholar All-America teams

AUBURN, Ala. – The College Swimming and Diving Coaches Association (CSCAA) has named the Auburn men’s and women’s swimming and diving teams to its Scholar All-America team for the Spring 2019 semester. A record 480 institutions were named to the list, highlighted by Auburn’s men’s and women’s GPAs of 3.22 and 3.18, respectively.

“Coach (Gary) Taylor is revitalizing the program,” CSCAA Executive Director Greg Earhart noted. “This shows he is rebuilding the program the right way, with STUDENT-athletes.”

This is the 14th consecutive semester Auburn’s women were recognized for their work in the classroom by the CSCAA. Last semester the team posted a 3.10 GPA.

This is also the second consecutive spring in which the men’s team earned the honor.

The teams were selected by the CSCAA’s Scholar All-America committee on the basis of their spring grade point averages. To earn the honor, teams were required to post a GPA of 3.0 or higher for the spring semester.
