APD arrests Louisiana man on multiple charges

AUBURN, Ala.-On Jan. 15, 2020, Auburn Police arrested Skylar T. Long, age 19 from Watson, Louisiana, on warrants charging him with receiving stolen property second degree, possession of marijuana second degree, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of a pistol without a permit.

Wednesday morning, officers on routine patrol observed an individual asleep at the wheel of a vehicle stopped along the roadway in the 100 block of Shell Toomer Pkwy. Officers contacted the driver and identified him as Skylar Long. A subsequent search resulted in the discovery of a stolen firearm, along with a quantity of marijuana and drug paraphernalia. Long was taken into custody on the warrants and transported to the Lee County Jail where he was being held on a $6,000 bond.
