In Key West, Florida, a man dressed as a banana tried to give police the slip. According to an arrest report, 20-year-old banana-clad Kyle Mortimer was spotted by police whipping out his own personal fruit basket and taking a leak in public. After realizing he’d been busted, Mortimer reportedly peeled out and fled down the street to get away. The zig-zagging foot pursuit only lasted so long, though, as a second officer was able to get hold of Mortimer’s costume and then use a “leg sweep” to take him to the ground. Mortimer is due to be arraigned on November 16th, and…if convicted…there’s no word on if he plans to a-peel. Thank you.
