Opelika Main Street to Host Inaugural Craft Beer Festival Saturday

OPELIKA, Ala. (7/25/2019)- Opelika Main Street will be hosting the inaugural ‘On Tap’ craft beer and food truck festival Saturday.

The event, one of the largest of its kind in the southeast, will be hosted on July 27 on 1stAvenue in Historic Downtown Opelika. On Tap will feature over 25 breweries from across the nation and attendees will get the opportunity to taste dozens of beers.

Additionally there will be a diverse array of food trucks featuring many different types of dishes for purchase.

“On Tap will be a great way to introduce people to downtown Opelika,” Said Opelika Main Street Executive Director Ken Ward. “Events like these help bring customers to our area, fueling the prosperity of many of our small businesses.

Advanced tickets can be purchased for $35.00 by going to www.opelikamainstreet.organd walk up tickets can be bought the day of the event for $40.00. Tickets include 50 two ounce beer tastings and a commemorative On Tap beer glass.

All proceeds from the event go towards Opelika Main Street’s downtown revitalization programs.
